Statuary & Decorations:

For our Feng Shui fans and gift buyers, or those just wanting to decorate their homes with Asian influence, we offer a wide assortment of figurines, statues, wall art, and other decorations.

Simulated Ivory: Cast in high-density resin, then hand-scribed with patterns and colorings using the traditional techniques of "ivory" carving. They look and feel like freshly carved ivory and represent an enormous amount of hand labor.

Simulated Rosewood: Cast in high-density heavyweight resin, then finished with a light and dark "stain". Detailed castings and attractive finish looks and feels much like traditional lacquered rosewood.

Painted: Unless noted otherwise in the description, these are cast in medium weight resin, then hand painted. There may be slight variations in each.

Gold leaf: A thermal printing technique (sublimation) bonds a thin layer of 24k gold leaf as a base for a lithographed painting. Each picture comes with certification that the base is 98% (24k) pure. Although expensive, the gold is thin, so the real value lies in the stunning presentation of the paintings. Although the famous "Elvis on black velvet" paintings are fun and nostalgic, these reproductions are not just a fad. Painting on gold is a technique in use for thousands of years in China, creating elegant pieces of art.
