This rare form is rooted in the ancient northern spear techniques used by the military of that era. Comprised of 72 techniques, the spear form features the use of dynamic full-body turns that utilize both ends of the weapon for sticking and striking. Master Ren Guang-Yi's execution of the spear form, as he has now preserved on videotape, is a rare example of classical weapon work as embodied in Chen Style Taijiquan.
