Buddhist music had been introduced into China for more than a thousand years before Buddhism followed. After centuries of developmental changes & cultural influences, Buddhist music has become a musical art form filled with integrity & maturity. Most of the tunes collected in this CD are rearranged from those handed down by the Buddhist religion & are prevalent in Taiwan today. Being modified with a distinctive style similar to New Age music with the Buddhist essence, these tunes are performed mainly by the piano w/some synthesizer.
