The Kucheng, a traditional plucking instrument in China, was invented around 231 B.C. The art of Kucheng features not only variety & gracefulness, but also its fusing with regional folk music. Based on the compassions of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva as a creative theme, the mellifluent melody of this selection presents an image of freshness & brightness. By listening to this music, the listener may achieve enlightenment, a state of freedom from desire & suffering, & lead to the union of the human spirit & the universe.
