Chinese Calligraphy Art in Shadow-Mat Frame: The Gospel
Master Calligraphy Series
Chinese character for "The Gospel" displayed in a smooth black frame with a unique "floating" double mat (a spacer creates a shadow between the mats). Frame size: 9" x 11" with 4.5" x 6.5" character insert.
Fu means "good fortune" and Yin means "sound" or "news"... thus it conveys the meaning of "the sound of good fortune" or "good news". The two words together has become closely associated with the Christian "Gospel" or "Word of God" and is only used in that context within China and Japan.
The character is painted in running script style, then printed on acid-free 100% cotton archival paper. The uniquely matted frame focuses attention on the character and makes a simple, yet beautiful display on a desk, shelf, or table.
